Founding Partner

Rino Caiazzo is a founding partner of the firm.

He advices major Italian corporations and multinational companies mainly in the areas of competition and market regulations, company law (merger & acquisitions), contract law, electronic communications, energy and other regulated markets (insurance, pharmaceutical, etc.). He has also an extensive experience in civil, administrative and arbitration litigation in the above mentioned areas.

Adjunct Professor of Competition Law at Roma Tre University, he is regularly also a lecturer at the Competition and Market Regulation Master of Tor Vergata University and the Global Regulation of Markets Master at La Sapienza University. He is the author of several publications in Italian and English, in particular in the areas of telecommunications, energy and competition law. He is very often a speaker or moderator at national and international conferences dealing with the above subjects.

He graduated in Law from La Sapienza University in Rome in 1981 and, after an LL.M. at London University (London School of Economics and Political Science), he started his professional carrier with a then primary Italian law firm. Before founding the law firm Caiazzo Donnini Pappalardo & Associati, he was a global partner of the law firm Dewey & Le Boeuf (USA) in the Italian offices.

Rino is a member of the Rome Bar and qualified to appear before the High Courts.

He speaks Italian and English.
