Marco Farina mainly practices in the areas of litigation, including arbitration, in civil and commercial matters - both domestic and transactional - and bankruptcy matters. He also provides extra-judicial assistance to clients in corporate, civil and commercial matters. He is ordinary member of the European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL) and of the Associazione Italiana fra gli Studiosi del Processo Civile (AISPC).
He graduated in Law, cum laude, from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1999 and obtained a PhD degree in Civil Procedure from the same University in 2007. In 2024, he qualified as a second-rank professor of Civil Procedural Law. He is Adjunct Professor (Professore a contratto) of Civil Procedure at the Law faculty of LUISS University of Rome and at the Law faculty of University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He also teaches International Arbitration at the Law faculty of European University of Rome. He regularly lectures and speaks at academic and professional conferences. He is the author of two monographs and about 60 articles on different areas of Civil Procedural Law (both national and transnational), Arbitration and Insolvency Law. Marco has been entitled to practice before the Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione) since 2016.
He speaks fluent English.
